| #1 It appears that the lessons of Iraq and the words of General Patraeus' rework of counterinsurgency warfare are being heeded. It should have been obvious by this time that way of doing things the past 40 years had been going nowhere. Just as we are now working with those who were shooting at us in Iraq, we will be doing the same soon in Afghanistan and in places around the globe. The old way doesn't work. |
