Nine Tamil Tigers killed, army destroys three LTTE bunkers

(PTI) At least nine LTTE militants and a civilian were killed as Sri Lankan military destroyed three rebel bunkers and clashed with Tamil Tigers in spiralling fighting in the embattled north. "Troops confirmed that five LTTE rebels were killed when they launched an attack on terrorist bunkers in Kallikulam in Northern Vavuniya yesterday," the Defence Ministry said adding three bunkers were completely destroyed in the offensive.
