Somalia: Banadir spokesman escapes bomb attack |

(SomaliNet) The spokesman for the Banadir provincial authority has narrowly escaped from an attempt on his life on early Thursday morning after a bomb exploded on a car he was driving in north of the Somalia capital Mogadishu. Witnesses said it was a roadside bomb which targeted on the vehicle as it was passing inside Karan district, north of the city around 6:50 am local time. After the explosion, Mohamed Muhyidin, the spokesperson told reporters that he had survived from a bomb attack as he was heading his office. “I and my security guards escaped from the attack, it was a remote controlled roadside bomb aimed to destroy my car,” said Muhyidin. |
