2007-09-29 |
Task Force Marne Soldiers detained three suspected insurgents during two operations Sept. 26 and 27. Soldiers of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Divison, detained one man Sept. 26. The man was identified by concerned citizens as having intelligence on al-Qaeda operations in the area. On Sept. 27, Soldiers of Company B, 1-30th Inf. Regt., compounded this success by detaining two more suspected insurgents. The Soldiers also discovered an SKS machine gun and a fake Iraqi Police identification card. Soldiers will continue operations to help provide safety and security to Arab Jabour by removing insurgents from the area. |
