The spokesman, Dr Saeed Elahi, said that earlier, Nawaz had decided to return to Pakistan in the wake of the Supreme CourtÂ’s decision, but the humiliation he had endured and the mass arrests of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers were tantamount to contempt of court. The government was not abiding by the law and a situation akin to civil war was prevailing in the country, he said, adding that conspiracies were being hatched to pit the army against the nation. Shahbaz Sharif and other family members, who were exiled forcibly, would return home one by one, he said. |
