A suicide bomber struck a convoy of Pakistani security forces near the country's tribal region on Saturday, injuring two soldiers, the NNI news agency reported. The bomber died in the attack when he rammed an explosive-laden car with a vehicle in the convoy near Tank, a city close to South Waziristan tribal region, according to the News Network International (NNI) news agency. Police said that the army's vehicle was partially damaged in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Violence increased in Pakistan's northwest frontier over two months and security forces and policemen in the region have suffered a series of attacks including blasts, firing and kidnappings. Armed tribals, usually referred to as "local Taliban" by local media, in North Waziristan on July 15 scrapped a peace deal reached with the government. The armed tribal militants demanded a military pullout from the region and release of their fighters by the authorities.
