| The Taliban in South Waziristan announced on Sunday they would release 16 Frontier Corps personnel if their 10 accomplices were also released, SANA news agency quoted sources as saying. Staff Report adds: The Mehsud Tribes Peace Committee and Tank Peace Committee will meet on Tuesday to discuss ways to secure the release of the FC men. The two committees will devise a strategy for the release of the kidnapped FC men, On Sunday, a nine-member Tank Peace Committee led by Maulana Hisamuddin met the political agent in Wana and discussed the kidnapping of Bhitani tribe troops. |
