The funny thing? Some twit named "Monica" wrote it. |

#18 Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the next Maureen Dowd. And this one won't whine about how hard it is to find a good man. |

#17 Laura Jamey looks fun. Monica? Not so much |

#16 That, he does, Pancho, that he does. And, this "article" just goes to prove that. |

#13 More on Monica Hesse (see the pic). "Guerilla Queer Bar Takeover"? That's deep. Real deep. |

#12 Typical Here's a question for you, smart bitch (that's bee-yatch in yankee-talk) that you are: Which part of the country has the RUST BELT, and which doesn't? Which part thinks Ted Kennedy is a good idea, and which doesn't? Idiot. |

#10 Just think, they could have printed something giving background on the various conflicts around the world, or putting some complicated theory of physics into layman's terms, but instead chose to go with this. |

#9 Sad thing is, 'Monica' and her editors thought this was good journalism. |

#7 Yea-yeah, the two-syllable pronounciation of 'ya'. |

#6 I've never considered the name Fred to be two are three syllables long; however, I did know a Tim from the Florida panhandle, lower Alabama, that pronounced his name as Ti um. Must be a southern thang. |

#5 I think the world is just a little bit dumber for that article having been printed by a "major" "newspaper". |

#4 I find it hard to swallow this article. It looks like it was spat out in a hurry. |

#3 Well, lets face it, the name "Fred" has long been associated with the ignorant and uneducated, like, um, you know, Fred Nietchze, Fred the Great. Whereas, Monica has always been a mouthful |

#2 It will take longer but Wapos future looks as promising and bright as the NYSLimes does. |

#1 You know, nobody tries passing off as news making fun of the Hildebeest's name. This news piece looks like satire from a bad marching-morons type sf story. |
