Loyalist feuding wounds officer in Northern Ireland |

Police have said the shooting of an officer in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, during trouble between rival loyalists was attempted murder. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A civilian was also stabbed and is in hospital. Three men were arrested under terrorist legislation during the trouble in Castlemara |
