| #1 The Kailash tradition is that they are descendants of the troops of 'Iskander' (Alexander the great). The area they live was once the province ruled by one of Alexander's Generals - Selucius Nicator. Selucius lost this province to the Indian emperor Chandragupta Maurya. |
