(SomaliNet) An unknown militant killed an Ethiopian soldier in ambush attack near the SOS mother and child hospital in north of the Somalia capital Mogadishu, local residents confirmed to Somalinet. Such actions are attributed to members the ousted Islamic Courts Unions. Sources say that a man armed with a pistol approached a group of Ethiopian soldiers standing alongside the road and killed one of them and then threw a hand grenade bomb to escape. “I saw an Ethiopian soldier lay on the ground,” said Bashir Farah a kiosk owner. The attacker escaped unharmed after he hurled a bomb at the Ethiopians.
Shortly after the ambush attack, the Ethiopian troops fired in all directions wounding one of the passersby.
