Lebanese born doctor linked to both U.K. terror plots | ||
2007-07-05 | ||
British authorities investigating the fast-moving U.K. terror plot now suspect that Iraqi-born doctor Bilal Abdulla and Lebanese-born Khaled Ahmed, the two men who tried to bomb Glasgow International Airport, also attempted the two London car bombings a day earlier , CBS News has learned. The Lebanese doctor was the driver of the Jeep Cherokee that was loaded with gas cylinders and rammed into the entrance of Glasgow International Airport and then set it on fire last Saturday. British intelligence services also believe that the failed car bombings in London and Glasgow bear the fingerprints of al Qaeda in Iraq. Intelligence sources tell CBS News that the people behind the attempts were directly recruited by Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, the present leader of the terror group's Iraq franchise.
Later Tuesday, two men were arrested in northwestern England under the Terrorism Act, but a police statement said it was "too early to confirm whether or not these arrests are linked to recent events in London and Glasgow." Sky News, citing law enforcement sources, reported that the suspects — two men — were arrested in Blackburn, England after they were seen trying to collect a number of gas canisters from an industrial site.

#6 The allegations against the doctors, however, fit a pattern of Islamist terrorists often being well-educated, especially in science and medicine. Al-Qaeda's deputy leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, from Egypt, is a medically trained doctor. Several of the September 11 hijackers undertook university studies. Link |

#4 Common thread possibly? CAIRO, Egypt - The suicide bomber who killed 22 people when he blew himself up in a U.S. mess hall in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul was a Saudi medical student, an Arab newspaper reported Monday. The Saudi-owned newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat identified him as 20-year-old Ahmed Said Ahmed al-Ghamdi, citing unnamed friends of the manÂ’s father. The friends said members of an Iraqi resistance group contacted al-GhamdiÂ’s father to tell him his son was the suicide bomber who carried out the Dec. 21 attack, the deadliest on an American installation in Iraq. |

#1 This is the "Islamic Doctor association"'s way of thanking the British Acadaemia (and the british public in general) for implementing the Academic boycot on Israeli scientists and academic institutions. Brit's and scotts, WAKE UP NOW !!!!!!!! If you dont deal with the moslem cancer now you will be destroyed and deported or chased out of your homeland by these bunch of moslem schmucks who always bite the hand that feeds them. It simply hurts to see how short sighted (or apathetic) you have become when the writing on the wall is so clear. |
