Leader receives Venezuelan president

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday held talks with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was also present in the meeting.

Chavez, heading a top-level Venezuelan delegation arrived in Tehran late Saturday and was accorded formal welcome at the President's Office this morning.

#5  If you think the Iranians are having problems with gasoline production and distribution, wait to you see what happens to Chavez in Venezuela in next few months. With Exxon Mobil and Conoco pulling out, they have zip expertise in refining extra-heavy crude. And while we are at it, why don't we take over their refining capacity (4 refinerys) here in the US that they own. They also have partial ownership of 5 other refinerys here. Their exports to USA equal 60% of their total but only 11 % of our imported oil. So, not that big a hit on us but on them. Who has the refining capacity to handle extra-heavy crude? Us, thats who. Sooner or later we need to use the "oil card" on Chavez.
