Norway: [Lutheran] Gang Leader Convicted |
2007-06-08 |
![]() Gee, does this mean there's no recourse to a restraining order in Norsky courts? Mahmood is the purported leader of Oslo's so-called "A-gang." There's a Pakistani "B-gang", too. He's been convicted numerous times for violence, assault and making threats. Psychiatrists claim he has a split personality, which makes it unproblematic for him to commit violent crimes while at the same time maintaining a seemingly normal family life. It's a widely-known disease: Breathing While Jihadi Syndrome His children, Sounds like the night shift in Baghdad. The relatively harsh sentence against Mahmood is seen as an important part of police efforts to crack down on gangs in Norway. Uff da, Inshallah |

#10 Penguin gets my vote for the 'Understated Snark of the Week' award! Yup! I second the emotion. Put the lot of them on a raft and set it alight. If any attempt to swim for shore they are recaptured and get the special treatment. Whoa! You mean the raft wasn't the special treatment? |

#9 And what of the relatives who one imagines were aware a torture chamber was on site? Put the lot of them on a raft and set it alight. If any attempt to swim for shore they are recaptured and get the special treatment. |

#7 The name Arshad Mahmood must be a typo. If this is Oslo, NORWAY, his real name has to be something like Arne Mammosen... Uh huh... |

#6 Wow! A whole nine years for organized crime, multiple kidnapping and torture. The Norse really locked him up and threw away the key. With the newly discovered Paris Hilton medical syndrome, Mahmood will be out in 3 days. |

#5 Norway's use of forvaring is very interesting. Look it up, you'll find that there isn't much on it in English, very hush, hush. Some kind of renewable prison term, a legal black hole of sorts. It sounds like just desserts for an asshole like this. |

#2 Arshad Mahmood. I'll bet he can trace his ancestry back to the Vikings, right? |

#1 That 890,000 NOK is worth a bit less than $150,000 at recent exchange rates. |
