#6  This is ore or less the Brigade-level (type IV) future combat systems UAV.

Autonomous takeoff, landing, flight control systems. Visual and other sensor data streamed back to a ground station for various processing and action as well as being used for autonomous movement.

US policy for now and for the foreseeable future is that autonomy will not be given for offensive or defensive weapons systems.

#4  Tie them into Skynet!

#3  They probably mean autonomous take off/flight control/landing. But it would have targeting sensors to try and spot baddies, along with camera feed to ground control to engage targets.

#2  The question is: Will they reenlist?

#1  Autonomous? That makes me nervous. There should be a man in the loop when you arm something and use it around friendlies.
