KATHMANDU - A bomb exploded on Tuesday killing nine people inside a house in southwest Nepal, officials said. The blast was reported from the remote village of Gothadi in Palpa district, 160 kilometres (100 miles) from Kathmandu. “The explosion has totally damaged the house,” killing a family of five and four guests, chief district officer Balkrishna Panthi told AFP by telephone.He said a rescue team had been dispatched to the site, which is a four-hour drive from Tansen, the district headquarters. “We don’t know how the bomb went off inside the house. It might have been left behind by the Maoists during the insurgency,” he said.
