| US marine killed in accident at Kuwait camp |

| KUWAIT CITY - A US marine has been killed and three others were slightly wounded in an accident at a camp in Kuwait, the US military said on Monday. The accident took place on Sunday as the marine was offloading equipment at Camp Patriot, northwest of Kuwait City, the military said. The three wounded marines were treated for minor wounds and returned to duty, it said, adding that an investigation has been launched into the incident. About 15,000 US troops are stationed in Kuwait, which served as the main launchpad for the US-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003. The emirate is also used as a transit point for foreign forces moving in and out of Iraq. |
