| I know this comes as a shock . . . A recently discovered document shows that Saddam Hussein authorized monthly payments of 50,000 Euro (about $68,000) to Al-Jazeera TV from the Iraqi Ministry of Culture and Information. The ever-reliable Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has reproduced the document here. |
