| #7 American nudism could be falling to the same pressures as have fuelled the culture wars of the last decade. As social conservatives have been in the ascendant, public nudity has been seen as morally corrupt. So thoughtful of the Grauniad to 'splain to the Eurosophisticates that the only reason nudism hasn't caught on here is because we are having one of our frequent bouts of witch-hunting Puritanism. Otherwise they might suspect that it was because of the massive inconvenience for no practical benefit, or the general desire to not look like a member of a cult of screwballs, or even just plain old consideration for others. |
