'Hebrew Hercules' finishes labors

Wrestler Abe “The Hebrew Hercules” Coleman died Wednesday in New York at age 101. Coleman, also known as “The Jewish Tarzan,” was an early pioneer of the drop kick, which he claimed to have learned from watching kangaroos. Standing 5'3" tall and weighing 220 pounds, Coleman was never a champion, but was a fan favorite in new York and elsewhere.

“Get my tights and jockstrap.”
Born in Zychlin, Poland, Coleman he started wresting in 1925 and continued through his 50s, according to the New York Times. At his 100th birthday, according to the Queens Times, a nephew asked Coleman if he wanted to wrestle. His answer: “Get my tights and jockstrap.”
