| Halliburton to move HQ from Houston to Dubai, UAE |

"My office will be in Dubai, and I will run our entire worldwide operations from that office," Halliburton chief executive David Lesar said at an energy conference in Bahrain. "Dubai is a great business center." This excerpt makes no sense at all. I didn't write it, I just quoted it. If worldwide operations are run from Dubai, that makes it the global HQ. KBR Inc. is the Pentagon's largest Iraq contractor and a unit of Halliburton. Halliburton is spinning off KBR to make it an independent company. Expect a US-national outcry over this capitalist outrage from the usual sources: MSM, leftists of all stripes, global-warmists, and others who consume vast amounts of petroleum and its products while accepting no responsibility for its production. The only group without a dog in this fight are the Amish, and only those Amish who refrain from using kerosene. |
