Mogadishu 20, Jan.07 ( Sh.M.Network) A large number of Ethiopian and government troops have gone to Goobo, a settlement in central Somalia where tribal militias fought last week. The troops accompanied by armored vehicles reached the settlement on late Friday afternoon to arbitrate the tribes in the area and position government forces in Dhusomareeb and GuruÂ’el in Galgaudud province, central Somalia. The government said it intended to avert another tribal bloodshed in central Somalia.
The tribal elders in the area were planning to meet today to resolve and finalize the feuds and conflicts between the two tribes. | |
