All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed disappointment at the United NationsÂ’ failure to resolve the Kashmir issue and urged Pakistan and India to take more initiatives. Addressing a press conference with Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Attique on Friday, he rejected a solution that did not involve Kashmiri people. He said there was a complete consensus between the APHC and the Azad Kashmir government and both agreed that war was not a solution. Farooq said he was not a traitor to the Kashmir cause and all his efforts were aimed at freeing the Kashmiri people from Indian oppression. To a question, he said he wanted militant groups to support the peace talks. |
