64 teachers murdered in 3 years in southern Thailand |

A total of 64 teachers have been killed by Muslim insurgents over the past three years in Thailand's southernmost provinces. Teachers' groups plan to hold a ceremony to remember them on Tuesday for the country's Teachers' Day. Boonsom Thongsriplai, chairman of the Federation of Teachers in the Southern Border Provinces, said Jamnong Tenmanee, a teacher of Ban Patae School in Yala, was the 64th teacher killed during the past three years of southern insurgency. |

#4 An in-situ commenter advanced the idea this was done on purpose, IE weaken the local education system, so the only left available is the islamic one : this way, it will churn out lil' muslim automatons... and the kufrs will have to relocate elsewhere if they wish to have their children educated. Soft ethic cleansing. |
