Malicious Castration; no weapons, just hands | |
2006-12-30 | |
Lillington Police Chief Frank Powers said Thursday that his officer reported a disturbing scene at a home Sunday night where a Lillington woman tried to castrate a man. The scene of the crime was a bloody one, where Rebecca Arnold Dawson, 34, of Stockyard Road in Lillington, tried to cut off the genitals of Kevin Russ with her hands. Chief Powers said officer R.D. Bass was responding to a domestic call at the home on Summerville Mamers Road when he discovered the situation. He found witnesses and participants on the scene who were intoxicated. Mr. Russ was in obvious distress and pain. Chief Powers said during his years at the Harnett County Sheriff's Office, he has never witnessed anything as brutal as a castration incident. "I have seen a lot of things, but I can't imagine anything worse than that," Chief Powers said. Ms. Arnold was allegedly arguing with Mr. Russ' girlfriend at the time of the incident. Mr. Russ was taken to Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn where he was treated and released.

#7 "Malicious Castration" I suppose that distinguishes it from "friendly castration", "casual castration", "mistaken castration", "official castration", and "fishing accident". |
