| This is supposedly from the wires, but couldn't find it via google. So, I linked to my local newspaper's website. Mods feel free to move to WoT Background if needed, as this is a summary of Our/NATO's "activities" since 9/1/2006. May I add that I love the name "Operation Medusa" too! BAGRAM, Afghanistan - Almost 2,100 militants have been killed in Afghanistan since Sept. 1 in operations involving coalition special forces soldiers, a U.S. Army spokesman said. That means more than half of the country's insurgency-related deaths this year have come in the last three months. About 900 of the 2,077 deaths came during Operation Medusa, a major offensive in September in the province of Kandahar. |

| #9 FYI, just after 1300 EST and I can find no reference on the Web to the individual quoted as the source for this article. I have e-mails in to two PAO's asking for a confimation. Can anyone here confirm the existance of Master Sgt. Clifford Richardson, currently at Bagram? |

| #5 I have a total YTD of 1,467. + bodies carried away, bodies blown away by 250 lbs or more bombs; also, this would indicate much more wounded, with less-than adequate care. |

| #4 It's an AP story from yesterday. I'm researching it. It's odd that the spokesperson was a sgt and not an officer. A quick search does not show him as a spokesperson on any other stories. Medusa was a Canadian op. I have them with 517 terrs terminated. I have a total YTD of 1,467. |
