A new round of six-party talks on ending North KoreaÂ’s nuclear arms programme may begin on Dec. 16 in Beijing, according to a proposal by host China, which may make a formal announcement soon, media reports said on Saturday. There have been no talks since Pyongyang walked out of the negotiations with South Korea, China, Japan, Russia and the United States a year ago. The reclusive communist state agreed to return to the table last month after a wave of international condemnation over its Oct. 9 nuclear test. |
