Sudan: South's Salva Kiir cautions militias |

![]() Serious clashes between former Sudanese rebels from South and Sudan's national army left at least 150 people dead. Analysts consider this as the most serious breach of the 2005 deal to end two decades of war. Meanwhile, United Nations peacekeepers in the Sudanese town have been helping both sides bury their dead. The UN warned over the weekend that some corpses had contaminated a portion of the Nile River and water purification tablets were being distributed. |

#1 Burying the dead seems to be the only thing the UN can accomplish in a "peacekeeping" role. |
