Terrorist "Starving Wolf" surrenders in Sidi Belabès
2006-11-19
Dangerous terrorist Bahri Djilali, who has sown fear in the Stambul Mountain, situated between Sidi Belabès and Mascara Wilayas, since the mid nineties, surrendered to Oran security services more than a week ago, reliable sources informed El Khabar. The terrorist is said to be a terrorist group’s chief. He is to undergo cross-examination on crimes he committed. He is charged of having killed 12 teachers by late 1997 besides other victims of his terrorist attacks in the mid nineties when he was operating with the Armed Islamic Group. After he moved to the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), he was a chief in the West of Algeria.

The terrorist was supposed to be killed in many security operations. He was known as the “Starving Wolf” was born in Ain Aden (Belabès), where the teachers were killed. The teachers’ families now are in touch with El Khabar and call for punishing the terrorist. Some families say his confessions should uncover those who participated in the assassination of the teachers and who may have benefited from the national reconciliation charter.
