UNIFIL: 17 Katyushas found in Lebanon since Sept.
2006-11-19
Since the start of September, only 17 Katyusha rockets have been found in south Lebanon, a UNIFIL spokesman currently stationed in the region said on Saturday night. The spokesman added that UNIFIL troops were taking all necessary steps to prevent the presence of illegal weapons south of the Litani River, as was outlined in UN Resolution 1701.

#6  So, they've found them... but will they give them back to the hezbollah? I mean, it's not like they'd have an use for it, not being into war and stuff like that themselves.

#5  You could walk from the border north to Tyre only stepping on rockets.

#3  I take it those were the rockets stored in the UNIFIL posts they kept tripping over.

#2  From an article posted on 11/13/06

“Since the ceasefire, additional rockets, weapons and military equipment have reached Hezbollah,” said an Israeli intelligence officer. “We assume they now have about 20,000 rockets of all ranges — a bit more than they had before July 12.” Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, has confirmed the Israeli estimate. In a recent interview with al-Manar, the Hezbollah television station, he claimed his organisation had restocked its arsenal and now held at least 30,000 rockets, sufficient for five months of war.

Boy Howdy is UNFIL gonna be surprised when the other 29,983 suddenly appear in the air.

Its a miracle!
