First Muslim Congressman Snubs Bush
2006-11-16
While his fellow incoming freshman were attending a private White House reception with President Bush Monday night, Rep.-elect Keith Ellison had what he considered a more important appointment to keep. "I went to the AFL-CIO reception, because I wanted to meet and greet leaders of labor, and get to know them," Ellison, D-Minn., said in an interview during a break from freshman orientation Tuesday. "Those are the people who I came here to support."

"It wasn't even a close call," added Ellison, who is replacing the retiring Rep. Martin Sabo, a Democrat. "Maybe one day I'll get to meet the president. He's the president, and I respect him in his role as the president, but I have exceedingly sharp differences with him on a policy level."

#10  Well put Zen. As a Minnesotan I'm still wondering WTF? But he was voted in by self hating liberals in Minneapolis (Moscow on the Mississippi) who could care less if Ellison is in fact endorsed by the Muslim terrorist funders at CAIR.

Ellison,"but I have exceedingly sharp differences with him on a policy level."

No schit Keith, he doesn't follow the teachings of a pedophile-terrorist for Allen.

#9  Oh, come on. Do I have to remind you of the old taqqiya thingy? Remember that American Muslims in general will be voting democratic in 2006 just to ensure that Bush's antecedant is not another republican. Muslims will have no problem voting for the gay rights party because they'll be just as ready to behead them too when the time comes.

#8  If some of the co-religionist notice? Isn't there a website we it can be posted?

#7  this fellow may prove entertaining to watch

his personal irresponsibility (past unpaid traffic tickets and unfiled tax forms), could result in an incident

some of his views run counter to muslim orthodoxy (e.g., he basically is pro gay rights); if his coreligionists notice, it could make for an interesting confrontation or two

#2  Thanks for the upcoming lesson, Minnesota. I'm not going to feel to sorry for you boneheads as you learn it, either. Now why don't you go vote for some higher taxes for yourselves while you're at it.

Go check out this guy's web page. AFAIC, he follows the stereotype and is basically rabid. www.keithellison.org
