Oscar winner Jack Palance dead at 87 |
2006-11-12 |
Bummer. More at link. Here's an excerpt: The actor clutched his Oscar in one hand and dropped to the ground for a round of vigorous one-handed push-ups. The Academy Awards crowd laughed and applauded as he said, "That's nothing, really. As far as two-handed push-ups, you can do that all night, and it doesn't make a difference whether she's there or not." ;-) |

#7 I liked his TV version of DRACULA in the 1970's. RIP... Are you sure that was Palance? I seem to recall someone else in the part (though I can't recall the name just right off) Regardless, ole' Jack was a class act all the way through. I crap bigger than him I thought the word was "better"... |

#3 One of the old school tough guys. Rest in peace. |

#2 Jack's 'Tough Guy' persona was projected with great skill and convincing realism. That glance and grimace along with that 'scrappy' voice, was such, could make a man stutter when talking to him. Other than perhaps Mr. T (in his prime) I can't think of anyone else that could do that! |
