N’DJAMENA - Chad accused neighbouring Sudan on Saturday of bombing four villages close to its border with the war-torn Sudanese region of Darfur. “The Sudanese airforce targeted the Chadian villages of Bahai, Tine, Karyari and Bamina, destroying the homes of peaceful Chadian citizens and causing distress among the inhabitants of these Chadian border regions,” Communications Minister Hourmadji Moussa Doumgor said in statement.He gave no details of any casualties.
“The Chadian government expects the African Union, Cen-Sad (states in the Sahel-Sahara region) and the United Nations to condemn these bombings against peaceful Chadian citizens and they work to bring an end to these repeated attacks on Chad.”
