 | "Sewen! Sewen titzup turbans!" | Indian troops killed seven suspected Islamist militants in an operation to flush out insurgents in Indian-held Kashmir (IHK), police said on Saturday. "The seven were killed during separate operations in Doda, Baramulla and Kupwara districts on Friday night," a police spokesman said. Police said that one of the slain insurgents was functioning as "sectional commander" of Hizbul Mujahedin. "Three of the militants killed in Baramulla district were believed to have infiltrated into our (Indian) side from the Pakistani side a few days back," an army spokesman said. |
