2006-10-17 |
COALITION FORCES DEFEAT COMPLEX ATTACK CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – Coalition Forces successfully defeated a complex insurgent small arms fire attack in Ramadi Monday, killing three insurgents. Insurgents attacked three different Coalition locations from several buildings at the same time with small-arms fire. In response to the attack, Coalition Forces established the origin of the gunfire and returned fire with small-arms and machine-gun fire. When the enemy’s fire did not cease, Coalition Forces used increasing levels of force, to include tank main gun rounds followed by an air-delivered missile. There are no reports of civilian casualties. Three insurgents were confirmed killed as a result of the attack. How can anyone tell it was three? DNA? No Coalition Forces were injured during the attack. |
