No overnight Passes UN peacekeepers are basically there to provide back up for the Lebanese army. But the Lebanese army says it will do nothing to control Hizbollah, so it's easy to see why the UN peacekeepers feel useless. If the Lebanese get tired of doing nothing the United Nothing will fill in for them, doing nothing. | |

#1 the economy is depressed because Hamas has not been able to work out a deal with foreign aid organizations I don't think that an agreement on how to hand out the welfare checks will suddenly result in a vibrant Gazan economy. So perhaps the sluggishness is due to something else, eh? |
