"The head of the Turkish mission told our representatives Imran Yousufzai and Fayyaz Sharif that he could not receive the memorandum because it was insulting Turk laws and its constitution and its status as a secular state," said Shaikh. He regretted that the Turkish government had "done away" with its "past stature" as leaders of the Muslim world. "It is a caliphate that could restore the lost glory of the Muslims," he claimed. |
