Moderator note: style points

First, a big thanks to everyone for maintaining the Burg whilst Fred's away fly fishing, and a special thanks to Scooter for picking up the Defender-Scimitar & Times-Picayune.

Quick style notes --

1) Opinions go under 'Opinion', not the other categories. Yeah, I know, floored me too.

2) Don't include the publication date, vendor, etc in the opinion pieces. If you want to cite the author, it's the first line of the text, and in italics please. People can always hit the link for the rest of that stuff.

3) Move long pieces to 'Page 49'.

#4  Steve, I just went to the Rantburg readers post-your-own-article screen. There's no option for Page 49. That's a editor only function done from the holding tank.

#1  Steve -- thanks for the info and..... about moving long stuff to "Page 49." Huhhhhh.... how do you do this? I frequently see this at our beloved Rantburg. And wonder, "Now how did he/she do that?" Always thought it was you mods doing it!

I'm sure it is something that is just staring me in the face when posting..... but, I'll admit.... I haven't the vagus idea how to do a Page 49!
