| Awwwwwwwwwwwww...too bad, pops. The father of Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks says he is afraid public outcry against his son's detention is continuing to fall on deaf ears. They aren't deaf, pops. They just don't give a shit about your loser son. More than 400 people have signed an open letter that will be sent to the Prime Minister John Howard calling for Hicks's release. Oooooooh, an "open letter"! What's next, rolling hunger strikes? Another 35,000 have signed an online petition. Haywood Jablome, E. Normous Johnson, I.P. Freeley... Hicks's father, Terry, says Australians are becoming more concerned about his son's situation. Yeah, they're probably wondering why he hasn't been shot yet, too... "If the public are made aware of what's happening and you can get them on side, they can then exert a lot of pressure on the Government through petitions and letters," he said. Sorry, pops. I gotta...cut my toenails that day. "So all this adds up and surely the Government can now fare well, that's 35,000-plus that probably won't vote for [them] next year." Yeah, I'm sure the government's really worried about it... |
