Senior Iraqi official assassinated in W. Baghdad
2006-07-20
(KUNA) -- A senior official in the Ministry of Interior was assassinated Wednesday by unidentified gunmen in western Baghdad. A security source in the Interior Ministry told KUNA that gunmen attacked Director of the Legal Department at the ministry, Major General Fakhri Hassan, along with his driver, on his way to work. Senior security officials and personnel seem to be the target of armed groups, and there are frequent killings and kidnappings involving them.

#4  But, we elected republicans to get us out of that quagmire, Vietnam. Let's stick with republicans until we destroy the MSM.

#3  You got all the information necessary to meet the media narrative. Another pointless death. It's a quagmire. Another Viet nAm. We need to cut and run, or at least elect left-wing Democrats.

#2  It's starting to really irk me that these reporters can't provide the minimum amount of information for us to make sense of what is happening. How about give at least a clue as to WHY he was targeted. Do these guys stuck on their barstools just think Muslims all look alike or what?

Was he a Sunni? Was he a Shia? Any clue as to why he was offed? I swear these guys don't do anything more than call from the hotel on cell phones to get death stats from some official death stat office. Jeesh - just come back here. You can probably get the same info from NY for 3cents a minute. It be cheaper than one round of your drinks.
