Hezbollah says rockets hit major air force base in Israel
2006-07-20
(KUNA) -- Hezbollah said on Wednesday his rockets hit a major Israeli air force base 40 kilometers from the Lebanese border, as three Israeli soldiers were killed in clashes with Hezbollah fighters near the border village of Aitaroun. Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes carried out new raids on the Beirut airport, the southern suburb and several South Lebanon villages, targeting civilian cars near the Burj Al-Shimali three kilometers from the city of Tyre.

#10  Re LGF item from AP. Perhaps AP wouldn't mind then if Israel made a point of identifying the precise locations of journalists each day - updating as they move around. Much easier for H & H Ltd. to kidnap them for ransom. H & H will be needing more funds soon.

After all - people have a right to all information with no thought to the reality on the ground. Yeeesh, journalists are supposed to report the news, not guide bombs to targets for terrorists.

The overwhelming collective stupidity and egomania of MSM would boggle the mind, if the mind went already to gelled to do anything but quiver.

#9  5From the article linked at LGF - "People are entitled to get as much information as they can about what's happening in a conflict,"

Not me. I don't need any information that can be used to kill innocents, even if some editor thinks they can get it 'somewhere else'. And that includes the NY Times.

#8  If Israel didn't censor their outgoing news, the MSN would be there spotting hits for Hezbollah and acting as forward observers.

#5  Regards comments 2 thru 4, there's an AP story linked on LGF that Charles Johnson calls "Possibly the most insane, over the top MSM wire story IÂ’ve read this year. IÂ’ve saved a local copy because I canÂ’t believe this one wonÂ’t get pulled by a rational editor, somewhere along the Associated Press chain of responsibility."

Check it out. He's right.

#4  Well, technically, just by listening to Israeli or Western news channels.

Israel's adopted a policy of not saying anything specific about where they land. Yes, they may have hit it, but I'll bet nobody knows if it's anything to brag about. But that won't stop Hezballah from bragging to try to get its fighters to continue doing something they shouldn't. Anybody find any posted articles about this? Even if you know something, don't reveal any specifics unless they are posted in the news!

#3  "How would they know what they hit?"

Well, technically, just by listening to Israeli or Western news channels.

But you're probably right, one has to take such "glorious victory" communiqués with a HUGE grain of salt.

#2  How would they know what they hit? I guess that throws the rest of the story in doubt now. You'd have to be pretty blinded by hate demoralized stupid to believe this . . . .
