Relative of dead meat terrorist Basayev apprehended in south Russia
2006-07-17
(RIA Novosti) - Law enforcers have detained a relative of Shamil Basayev, Russia's most wanted man until he was killed last week in a special operation, in the southern republic of Daghestan, a spokesman said Monday. Nikolai Varavin said that Ibragim, 24, the husband of Basayev's sister, was the head of a militant group that had been active in the Kurchaloi, Nozhai-Yurt districts in the east of Chechnya and the central region of Urus-Martan. He added that, according to law enforcement agencies' information, Ibragim was also traveling to the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, where he handled financing for militant groups in Chechnya and the Pankisi Gorge in Georgia.
"Uhhh... Put the pliers away! I'll talk! I'll talk!"
"Volodya, do you care what he has to say?"
"Not me, Sasha. You want the Number 6 or the Number 8?"
Oh man, I didn't know they even made a Number 8 ...
Number 8's are the extra-large channel-locks that fit around their skull.
News that Shamil Basayev, who claimed responsibility for the 2004 Beslan school massacre and other atrocities, had died broke on July 10 when the head of Russia's Federal Security Service said the terrorist had been killed during a special operation in the North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia.
