(KUNA) -- Amidst the ongoing Israeli military assault on Palestinian lands, a number of Palestinian factions retaliated Wednesday by launching rockets on Israeli targets. The military wings of Fatah, the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said today in a joint statement that they launched two rockets at an Israeli military camp in Nahel Al-Ouz. The joint statement said that the Palestinian factions heard the rockets' explosions, after which the Israeli army abandoned the camp.The statement said that "the operation was in retaliation to Zionist terrorism," stressing that they insist on resistance as a strategic option. The military wing of Islamic Jihad Movement said in a statement today that they launched a "Quds 3" missile at Migdal city. The statement cited Israeli military sources saying that the missile hit an Israeli military base in the city without resulting in any casualties.
Hamas military wing also announced responsibility of a Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG) that hit an Israeli tank north of Khan Yunus city. They said that the operation was in retaliation to Israel's aggression against Palestinian people in Gaza.
