![]() According to the report, Hamas was willing to accept the document barring a few minor changes. Sources within the Hamas government said that it would be willing to change make changes within its leadership if it would cause the easing of economic restrictions on the Palestinian Authority. A senior Hamas official within the PA said that if the economic restrictions were not lifted within two months, Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh would resign and a technocratic government would be formed. Meanwhile, Abbas was meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and the two were discussing, among other things, Olmert's "realignment" plan. |
