QUETTA: Two people were killed in a landmine blast in the Nelakh vicinity in Sui on Friday, while unidentified men blew up a main power transmission line in the Harnai area. One of the dead in the blast was identified as Chandi Khan Bugti, while the other could not be identified. The power transmission line between Sibi and Harnai was blown up with a powerful bomb, disrupting supplies to several neighbouring localities. Also, security forces defused a 2kg bomb installed near tower No 318, one-and-a-half kilometres east of a 132 KV grid station in Harnai. Separately, 13 rockets were fired at Frontier Corps (FC) check posts in the Bibi Nani area of Bolan district. Sources told Daily Times that insurgents and FC men exchanged fire for a long time, but there were no casualties.
