How Internet monitoring sparked a CSIS probe
2006-06-03
Long article from Toronto Star on how they found the Canadian terror cell. Hat tip to Captains Quarters:
Last night's dramatic police raid and arrest of as many as a dozen men — with more to come — marks the culmination of Canada's largest ever terrorism investigation into an alleged homegrown cell.

The chain of events began two years ago, sparked by local teenagers roving through Internet sites, reading and espousing anti-Western sentiments and vowing to attack at home, in the name of oppressed Muslims here and abroad.

#3  In the end, sans the hand-wringers and cultural equivalencers and Tranzis and all other multiculti morons, we will have to choose between deporting or facing off against everyone in our midst who will not completely support our way of life. Hate isn't dissent, it's unreasoning anger and dysfunctional behavior. All support mechanisms for other ideologies, from training and indoctrination to funding, must be uprooted and expelled. Internet sites can be denied - the internet death penalty can be imposed on ISP's by law. Who cares who is upset by any of this? Fuck them.

#2  In other words, any Western country that has a Moslem population is at risk. Especially dangerous are young Moslem men who are assumed to be "culturally integrated" thanks to political correctness.

So, how do we deal with that threat? bringing democratic government to various Moslem countries is not going to solve that bit.
