Turkey deploys troops on Iraqi borders, bomb village in Kurdistan |

The Turkish army has deployed additional troops on the Iraqi border and bombed a village in Kurdistan injuring one person. A source from the Zakhu region said the recent deployment of Turkish reserve troops aims to chase elements from Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) stationed in mountains between Turkey and Iraq. The source added that some areas in the region have been bombarded by the Turkish military several times before. Residents of the border village of La'wi Keizi have been asked to leave their homes, the source added. |
