Five Palestinians killed in Gaza
2006-06-03
Three Palestinians were killed as Israeli aggression and inter-Palestinian violence persist in the Gaza Strip.
"It's all the fault of the Zionists, y'know..."
Along the Egyptian-Israeli border, two Palestinian militants were killed, Friday, and one was injured in clashes. An army statement explained, the militants had opened fire at Israeli army soldiers near Saji Mountain in Al-Nageb, southern Israel, before raiding the soldiers' forts. The injured militant returned to Egypt. The army reported no injuries.
That went well, didn't it? I believe these are the two carcasses they're talking about in the article above, under North Africa.
In an inter-Palestinian incident Thursday, unidentified militants killed a Palestinian Preventative Force officer. Khodr Afanah, 40, was severely wounded by several gunshots to his body. The father of five bled to death upon reaching Al-Shifa Hospital.
"He's dead, Jim!"
After his death had been announced at the Al-Shati' refugee camp in Gaza, Fatah supporters and security forces established by the Hamas government clashed.
"Khodr! The bastards shot Khodr! Where's my shootin' arn?"
The security force withdrew from the camp after intensive fighting.
"Ow! Ow! Oooch! Ow! Retreat!"
In Khan Younis, militants ambushed a Preventative Security vehicle showering it with gunshots.
"Take that, coppers! [BANG! BANG! BANGETY BANG!]"
Officers on board the vehicle were injured.
"Aaaaaiiiieee! They got me, Tex!"
Tensions continue to rise in Khan Younis and surrounding villages after a statement threatening the lives of 160 Fatah members and activists was distributed. Hamas, accused by Fatah of being behind the statement, said they have no connection to the statement.
"Wudn't us."
They added, it's one of many falsified statements, at times tagged by "a member of Hamas", others "Yassin's children".

#1  "Three Palestinians were killed as Israeli aggression persist{s}."

The next paragraph goes on to really nail the Israelis for their aggression:
"the militants opened fire at Israeli army soldiers ... before raiding the soldiers' fort."

With such blatant aggression occuring by Israel on a daily basis no wonder there is so much material for Chomsky's books denouncing Israel.

It's sad how even blatant contradictions, even when placed practically side-by-side, manage to elude both Arab newspaper readers and American college professors.
