#1 Why? It's not like the indonesians don't have money. Those journalists who describe indonesia are ignorant, lying or both. Java has more millionaires per square kilometre than Sydney does. They just don't redistribute it through tax, and corruption helps them concentrate it in the hands of the rich. Cut off the aid and make the rich of indonesia fork out for their own poor for a change. Incidentally you do know they've bought themselves planes that have more strike power than the Royal Australian Air Force, don't you? So how come we instantly give them $3 mill aid so they can buy more weapons? |
