The military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, Salahideen battalions, Sunday claimed responsibility for an attack on the Israeli town of Azata with a Naser-IV advanced missile. A statement by the battalions said the group that executed the attack operated at dawn and managed to return to its base unharmed. "This attack is in retaliation over massacres against our people in Gaza and the West Bank and the assassination of Islamic Jihad leader Al-Majthoub and his brother in Sidon, Lebanon on Friday," the statement said. The battalions added the missile used in this attack is the first that was engineered by its own experts and its range of up to 15 kilometers makes Israeli towns "easy targets."
